Installing Sequel and running Viewpoint requires access through various servers to run certain activities and processes.
It is important to review your rules in PowerTech Network Security and confirm there is nothing defined that will block the network access Viewpoint requires. The tables below identify the servers that are used for installing and running Viewpoint. These servers and functions must be allowed for each user or group profile that will be running Viewpoint.
Note: If you don’t have rules rejecting traffic for any of these servers there is no need to specifically allow access for the user profile. Access can be allowed at the server or server/function level and the rule authority should be set to *OS400.
