Hi,

When using "Get Value" activity of new Web Browser action on Chrome, after clicking "Open" button Task Builder displays an error message "Web Browser driver upgrade failed. Please contact support for instrucions on how to upgrade it manualy".

 

Operating System:  Windows 10 Home Single Language [10.0.18362.719]

Automate version is 11.3.10.50

Chrome version is 80.0.3987.132 (64 bits)

Hello Herminio,

The process for manually installing this driver is as follows:

  • Go to https://sites.google.com/a/chromium.org/chromedriver/downloads
  • Download the latest released win32 ChromeDriver
  • Unzip the archive
  • Place the ChromeDriver.exe file into the following location:
    • Automate: C:\ProgramData\Automate\Automate 11\WebDrivers\x86
    • Agent: C:\ProgramData\Automate\Automate Agent 11\WebDrivers\x86
    • Automate Enterprise: C:\ProgramData\Automate\Automate Enterprise 11\WebDrivers\x86

Hi,

I performed the procedure, but it didn't work. The error message is the same.

During the execution of the "Open" action, the browser appears and closes quickly.

Another thing I noticed was that the file chromedriver.exe disappears after "Open" action. Could you help me?

Im having the same issues. 

Machine works in development environment fine, but when run on the live machine I have the exact same error messages

Currently running version 11.3.10.65 on both agent and dev machine with the correct chrome driver installed

Hi Justin, 

I'm experiencing this same issue. Installed latest ChromeDriver.exe and when it tries to open the web browser, it fails and deletes the driver file. 

Did you happen to find the fix for this?

Hello Karl,

What version of Chrome are you running on the machine experiencing the issue? How about on the machine that is working?

Is protected mode enabled?
