Is it possible to pass a variable from a CLP program to a Sequel View or Script?

I have a set of date that need to be calculated based on the current month at time of execution, these are then used to select data in a number of views. These run as part of a scheduled job on the iSeries so there is no user interface to enter the dates.
I could not find a way to generate these dates in the view at time of execution so that is why I want to pass them from the CL program.
Any help work be appreciated.

there are a couple of ways of doing this. Either use a SEQUEL script which I likethe most because it has more capabilities.

for the CL, I am not sure which command you are using to run your view. But if you use the EXECUTE command you can scroll down to the "Set Variables" parameter

variable name is the variable in your view

variable value is the variable in your CL

hope this helps.
