What database is Skybot using?

Skybot uses version 9.1 of the PostgresSQL database, which is open source software. It is an enterprise grade database server. It does run as a separate server.

'Postgres' is a background service that runs on the Skybot Scheduler server. It is responsible for taking in requests. For example, when a user signs into the database and requests an action, 'postgres' takes the request, runs the SQL and gives the results back. Multiple users can access the database at one time and there may be several of these 'postgres' services executing at once.
