This article applies to BoKS 7.1.0.
When local caching of authentication request replies is enabled, see
LOCAL_CACHE_AUTH in the ENV.4 man page, login sessions keep a connection
open to the boks_cached daemon for the duration of the session.
This can lead to file descriptor starvation in the boks_cached daemon.
Resolution / Workaround
To resolve this issue, download and install the hotfix HFBM-0208,
available from the HelpSystems Community Portal.
This hotfix modifies the local caching function so that the connection
between the login session and the boks_cached daemon is only open
during the authentication request.
