This article applies to BoKS Manager 6.7.0, 6.7.1 and 7.0.0.
Password update performance suffers when many keystroke log files are fetched.
The problem is that the clntd send bridge is not able to accept new requests while it is processing a non-batched request (e.g. a request to fetch a file). This means that the drainmast process responsible for passing batched password updates to the clntd send bridge has to wait for the bridge to accept new requests, and the queue with requests in front of this drainmast process will grow.
Resolution / Workaround
To resolve this issue, apply hotfix HFBM-0162 for BoKS 6.7 or HFBM-0163 for BoKS 7.0, available for download from the HelpSystems Community Portal.
The boks_bridge was rewritten to be able to accept requests from a second queue used just for batched messages and boks_drainmast was modified to put its batched requests into that queue. As the queue only contains batched requests, it was possible to modify the boks_bridge to be able to accept (and process) new requests from this queue while processing a non-batched request from the other queue.
