This article applies to BoKS Manager 6.7.0, 6.7.1 and 7.0.0.
The 'authadm list' command, which is executed by adsync every time it runs, reads the entire authenticator table via the boks_master process. As the boks_master process uses a write lock on the database, this blocks access by boks_servc to the database. If 'authadm list' is frequently used (it is executed every time adsync runs), this will negatively impact performance.
Resolution / Workaround
To resolve this issue, apply the hotfix HFBM-0142 (for BoKS Manager 6.7 / 6.7.1) or hotfix HFBM-0143 (for BoKS Manager 7.0), available for download from the HelpSystems Community Portal.
With the hotfix applied, 'authadm list' now calls boks_servc to read the data instead. boks_servc uses a read lock on the database, allowing the other boks_servc processes to access the database at the same time.
