This article applies to BoKS Manager 6.7.0, 6.7.1 and 7.0.0.
On a very heavily-loaded Replica with lots of Server Agents connecting, messages about SYN flooding on the servc receive port could appear.
Resolution / Workaround
To resolve this issue, apply the hotfix HFBM-0125 (for BoKS Manager 6.7 / 6.7.1) or hotfix HFBM-0126 (for BoKS Manager 7.0), available for download from the HelpSystems Community Portal.
The problem was that the receiving bridge had a very low hard-coded value for the backlog parameter in the listen() system call. This has now been made configurable and the default value is much higher.
To configure it, set BRIDGE_LISTEN_BACKLOG_servc to the value you want in the ENV file on the Master or Replica and restart BoKS. Valid values are 11 - 19999 and the default value is 128 (the old hard-coded value was 5).
It is possible to configure the listen backlog for receiving bridges for the other services as well by replacing the servc part with master, servm or clntd, but for those services there should be no need to change it from the default.
