This article applies to BoKS 6.7 and 7.0.

A corruption in one of the batch queue files in $BOKS_data/crypt_spool/clntd
could cause the clntd send bridge to silently not process batch messages.

Resolution / Workaround

To resolve this issue, apply one of the following hotfixes, available for download from the HelpSystems Community Portal:

  • HFBM-0089 (for BoKS Manager 6.7)
  • HFBM-0090 (for BoKS Manager 7.0)

Two fixes have been made:

  1. At startup, if the corrupt file and the files before it only contain messages marked for deletion, the file (and the ones before it) will silently be deleted so processing can continue as normal.
  2. During processing, if the corrupt file contains messages not marked for deletion, boks_bridge will write an error message to boks_errlog specifying the error, the file name and a message suggesting that the file should be removed and BoKS restarted.
