A Replica takes a long time to retry connecting to the Master in the event of a message not being sent properly due to a communication error
When a Replica sends messages to the Master, if there is a communication error with the Master, the sending boks_bridge on the Replica starts reading through all saved messages before retrying the connection to the Master.
If there is a large queue of messages on the Replica, this process can take a long time.
Resolution / Workaround
Install the hotfix HFBM-0016-2 from the HelpSystems Community Portal.
In this version the bridge stops reading from the queue after the first message in the event of communication problems with the Master. This means the bridge immediately attempts to connect to the Master again, thereafter using the normal backoff to increase the interval between connection attempts to a maximum of 10 minutes if the connection attempts continue to fail.
Alternatively, this issue can also be resolved by upgrading to BoKS Manager 6.7.
