Changing a user's Host Group with the modbks -G command does not update database tables or remove the old user from password files

Using the modbks -G command to update the Host Group part of a BoKS username fails to update certain database tables added in BoKS 6.6. In addition, data for the 'old' username that is changed is not removed from password files as expected.

Resolution / Workaround

Install the hotfix HFBM-0013-2 from the HelpSystems Community Portal.

This hotfix includes a modified version of modbks which resolves this issue. In addition, this version of modbks obsoletes the -Q option used to push out passwd updates to clients as batched messages, since this is now always done. This option is still accepted though.

Alternatively, you can also resolve this issue by upgrading to BoKS Manager 6.7.
