The master send bridge on a Replica displays worse performance on RedHat 6 when the ext4 filesystem is used

Issue description

The master send bridge on a Replica displays worse performance on RedHat 6
when the ext4 filesystem rather than the ext3 filesystem is used and the ENV var
BRIDGE_MASTER_S_USE_CHUNK_BATCH is set to on (this is the default setting
for this variable).

Fewer messages per second are delivered to the master, and disk utilization is
magnitudes higher.

Resolution / Workaround

Install hotfix HFBM-0050, available for download from the HelpSystems Community Portal.

The cause of the slowdown and high disk activity on the Replica was traced to an
unnecessary flag that caused flushing of filesystem buffers. For more technical details on
the issue, see the hotfix README.
