This article applies to BoKS version 7.0 and 7.1.

Description

  1. If a user logs in to a BoKS host via XDM by ldapauth authentication, then the screen can be locked after the inactivity timeout period has passed. In this case, the user can't unlock the screen using ldapauth authentication anymore.
  2. The "ldapauth" program can be blocked unexpectedly sometimes when it tries to read parameters from BoKS PAM module.

Resolution / Workaround

To resolve these issues, apply hotfix HFBM-0239 for BoKS 7.0 and HFBM-0240 for BoKS 7.1, available for download from the HelpSystems Community Portal.

  1. When a user logs in to a BoKS host via XDM by ldapauth authentication, the BoKS PAM module saves the parameters to a local file, which would be used later to unlock the screen. This local file is deleted when the user logs out.

  2. The pipe between the BoKS PAM module and the "ldapauth" program is closed in a correct way.
