This article applies to BoKS 7.1.

This hotfix solves the following problem:

A change was made in BoKS 7.1 to how access rule modifiers are stored (e.g. with a =+1 at the end). However, a routine used by boks_servc was not updated to handle this change properly and the result was that in special circumstances (e.g. system wide default authentication was not set to password) it could cause access rules with authentication modifiers that worked correctly in BoKS 7.0 and earlier to fail in BoKS 7.1.

Resolution / Workaround

Apply hotfix HFBM-0250, available for download from the HelpSystems Community Portal.

The routine in question has been updated to handle the way modifiers are now stored.
