Summary

In earlier versions of BoKS Manager, you defined what events were classified as alarm events in the $BOKS_etc/alarmlogs file, but in BoKS Manager 7.0 alarm event definitions are stored in the BoKS database and configured using the program bokslogadm.

Procedure

To define alarm events:

  1. Log in to the Master and become root or enter a role with administrative privileges.
  2. Start a BoKS shell.

For example:

# /opt/boksm/sbin/boksadm
BoKS #

  1. Run the bokslogadm command with the argument -A, and the usage as follows:

BoKS # bokslogadm -A [-c comment] -a

to add log events with label as alarm events

BoKS # bokslogadm -A -r

to remove log events with label as alarm events

BoKS # bokslogadm -A

to list all currently defined alarm events.
