This article contains information about how the bremotever file is distributed.

The $BOKS_etc/bremotever file is used to specify the encryption to use when communicating with a Server Agent. This file is managed on the Master and pushed to the Replicas automatically.

The Master has a process called push_files that runs once every two hours and distributes files from the Master to the Replicas. It looks in $BOKS_etc/distrib.cfg to determine which files to push, and which Replicas to push them to. bremotever is in the distrib.cfg file by default.

The bridges on the Master and Replicas check their bremotever files once per minute to see if there have been any changes.

The push_files script can be manually executed if files need to be pushed immediately.
