Description

When logging in with SSH with an Access Rule that permits SSH_X11, the login is successful, but X cannot be forwarded.

When logging in, the user is presented with an error similar to:

X11 forwarding request failed on channel 0

And the boks_errlog on the host shows:

Failed to allocate internet-domain X11 display socket

Resolution / Workaround

This is a legacy bug in sshd that is triggered when a host does not have any IPv6 interfaces configured.

As a workaround, add the line

AddressFamily inet

to the files $BOKS_etc/ssh/sshd_config..active and $BOKS_etc/ssh/sshd_config..inactive, then restart BoKS.
