When using the checkdbsetup tool to test the BRM database connection, the tool fails with the message:


Cannot create connection to the database! Check the database settings. Got error: Connections could not be acquired from the underlying database!


This does not provide enough information to pinpoint the underlying problem.

Resolution / Workaround


To obtain more information about the problem, you can use the debug option for checkdbsetup, which will output debug information from the connection pool:


checkdbsetup -d
