SSH/SFTP/SCP connections are failing. The following error is seen in syslog messages:
boks_sshd: error: no more sessions
There are no errors in the BoKS errlog, and the audit log shows successful connections.
Resolution / Workaround
SSH has the ability to multiplex sessions within a single connection. This can be used, for example, to send multiple files via SFTP in parallel within a single connection.
The default limit for the number of sessions is 10.
To increase the number of allowed sessions, edit the $BOKS_etc/ssh/sshd_config file and set the following variable:
You could set the variable to something other than 30, but 30 is a good starting point.
NOTE: The MaxSessions variable was unavailable prior to OpenSSH v5 (BoKS v6.6). If you are running an older version of BoKS than 6.6, you will need to upgrade in order to address this issue.
