BoKS doesn't have the concept of a never-expiring account or password.

Resolution / Workaround

This issue does not have a resolution, however the following workaround exists.

For BoKS 6.6.1 and later, the best way to handle this particular requirement is to simply set the expiration dates very far into the future. The absolute latest date that BoKS supports is Jan 17, 2038.

For example:

To set the account ORACLE_HOSTS:oracle to expire in the future, you can run the following command:

modbks -l ORACLE_HOSTS:oracle -E 380117

To set the password to expire in the future:

modbks -l ORACLE_HOSTS:oracle -e pswvalidtime=9999

To list user expiration date:

lsbks -DlE

See the BoKS man pages lsbks and modbks for more information.
