BRM database loads fail with "unable to extend segment" message in boksbrm.log and catalina.out log files

 

Issue description

 

BoKS Reporting Manager database loads fail. In the boksbrm.log and catalina.out log files there are messages
similar to the following:

ORA-30036: unable to extend segment


BRM indicates a status problem such as AU is OUT_OF_SYNC.

This is an Oracle message indicating that the database is full and it is unable to add new records.

 

Resolution / Workaround

 

  1. Contact your DBA and have them increase the database size.
  2. Stop and restart BoKS Reporting Manager.
  3. Issue an ondemanddomain command to trigger a new attempt at data import.
