Create an Allocated Memory Pool in which Halcyon can run

Memory pools are typically created to isolate disk I/O from other applications sharing the pool.  By default disk I/O uses the *BASE memory pool. This can cause performance issues for any other applications that are also using the *BASE memory pool. 


It is recommended that you evaluate the settings that you calculate for your system(s) BEFORE you apply the changes. Knowledge of the OS400 operating system is required before making these changes, if you are not sure of the changes described in this video then consult your IBM i system operator or third party support.

After implementation some settlement time is expected, you may need to adjust the figures to optimize the configuration.
