When installing some HelpSystems products in a virtual environment, a static MAC address must be provided. If the MAC address changes, the current license key will become invalid and a new license will be required in order to continue using the product.
HelpSystems products can be installed in most virtual environments including Hyper-V, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, and more.
Links are provided below, to instructions on how to set a static MAC address for each of the commonly-used virtual environment solutions. If the virtual environment you are using is not listed below, please refer to the provider's own help for information on how to set a static MAC address for your installation.

The following is a guide to using Elastic Network Interfaces (ENI). An ENI is required to obtain and retain a static MAC address, when using Amazon EC2 Virtual Environments.
