Important Updates to Cybersecurity Software

Verify that the message queue to monitor is the same on the new system and create it if it doesn’t exist.

To successfully move SIEM Agent for IBM i from one system to another (i.e. a D/R system), you must first install SIEM Agent for IBM i on the destination system using the software installer.
The installer creates the required user profiles and authorization lists for SIEM Agent for IBM i.
If the new system is in an HA environment, please refer to the SIEM Agent for IBM i Setup in an HA Environment for more information.
After SIEM Agent for IBM i is installed on the new system, save and restore the following files on the new system:
PLIFTR, PLIAGENT, PLIAGEN2, PLISYS and PLIUCTL
SIEM Agent for IBM i 3.02 and higher has the ability to enter multiple licenses (press F7 – License List on License Setup screen). This allows you to enter multiple licenses in preparation of a move or an event such as a role swap. If you have entered multiple licenses, then you will need to include the PLI9800U user space when moving to the new system.
Note: If you are not using the multiple license feature, you do not need to move this object to the new system.
