iEncrypt requires the Portable App Solutions Environment (PASE) to be present on your system. To verify that it is installed:
On an iSeries command line, run GO LICPGM, and select option 10. The Display Installed Licensed Programs screen will appear.
PASE will appear as the Licensed Program 5722SS1, with the Description Portable App Solutions Environment. An installed status of *COMPATIBLE or *INSTALLED is acceptable.
If PASE is missing, please install it from your OS/400 software discs before proceeding.
Run WRKLIB RJS7ZIP to confirm that you do not already have a copy of the RJS7ZIP library on your iSeries. If it returns no results, continue to step 3. If it does return results, RJS7ZIP has been installed on your iSeries in the past; ask your iSeries administrator whether to upgrade or clear the library and reinstall.
Make sure that:
FTP is running on the iSeries LPAR where you are installing RJS7ZIP.
Your account has the required system credentials. Note: If your account does not have the required system credentials, use QSECOFR or another account with *ALLOBJ special authority.
On the FTP server, make sure that NAMEFMT is set to 1, not 0. Note: NAMEFMT is set to 1 on most FTP servers.
If you are using FTP exit programs, create an exception or temporarily disable them during this installation.
Make sure that your RJS7ZIP license matches the iSeries serial, model, and LPAR numbers. If you do not have a license or do not know if your license matches, contact RJS Technical Support.
On a Windows system on the same network as the iSeries, download the zipped RJS7ZIP save file.
Unzip RJS7ZIP_1.01.ZIP to C:\.
Run CRTSAVF FILE(QGPL/RJS7ZIP) to create a temporary file on the iSeries to upload RJS7ZIP.LIB to.
Log in to the iSeries LPAR you are installing RJS7ZIP on:
Bring up a command line:
On older versions of Windows, click Start > Run, type cmd, and click OK.
On newer versions of Windows, click Start, type cmd, and press Enter. A Windows Console window opens.
Type ftp 220.127.116.11, where 18.104.22.168 is the IP address of the iSeries LPAR you are installing RJS7ZIP on.
Type the user name and password of the account you chose in Before You Install 3.2. Note: If you cannot log in, most likely either your account has a security restriction on the iSeries or you are using FTP exit programs. In both cases, contact your iSeries administrator to rectify.
