To set up SalesLogix Mail Client for SMTP:

  1. In the SalesLogix Mail Client menu, go to Tools > Options.
  2. On the General tab, check SMTP/POP3.

  3. Click Options.

    The SalesLogix SMTP/POP3 options display.

    1. On the Personal tab, enter your email address and name.

    2. On the Servers tab, fill the POP3 and SMTP server information as follows:

      1. The inbound Pop Server Address is 125.1.1.18.
      2. In the POP3 UserName, always use saleslogix@rjssoftware.com.

        Note: RJS Software does not initially receive email from SalesLogix. This is only used for outgoing emails. 

      3. The POP3 Password for SalesLogix email address is saleslogix.
      4. The outbound SMTP Server Address is 125.1.1.18.
    3. On the Delivery tab, uncheck Leave a copy of mail on server.

    4. On the Advanced tab, use the following settings:

    5. Click OK
  4. In the SalesLogix Client Options, review the rest of the settings.
    1. On the Send tab, choose what to do before sending a message:

    2. On the Read tab, choose your notification settings:

    3. On the Signature tab, choose your signature settings:

    4. On the Spelling tab, choose your spell-check settings:

    5. On the View tab, choose what fields display:

    6. On the Address Book tab, add or edit any address books:

    7. On the Advanced tab, change any additional settings:

  5. Click OK.
