  • Install each application.
  • Connect it to WebDocs.
  • Find additional help.

 

WebDocs

WebDocs is document-management software. Like a filing cabinet, WebDocs is where you go to quickly find documents, work with them, and then return them for others to use.

RJS Imaging Scan Workstation

RJS Imaging Scan Workstation is a powerful application that lets you scan large amounts of paper documents, enter index-key information manually or automatically, and then check in digital versions of those documents (as PDFs or TIFFs) to WebDocs.

 

Installing

Before starting: Make sure you have the download user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Download and install.

Note: For a typical installation, you should install all prerequisites.

 

Licensing

RJS Imaging Scan Workstation comes installed with a 30-day temporary license. Contact RJS Technical Support for a permanent license.

 

Connecting

Before starting: Make sure you have your WebDocs URL and WebDocs user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Now that RJS Imaging Scan Workstation is installed on your computer, you need to connect it to WebDocs so you can check in documents.

  1. Open RJS Imaging Scan Workstation by clicking Start > All Programs > RJS Imaging Scan Workstation > RJS Imaging Scan Workstation.

  2. Open the configuration settings by clicking File > Settings.

  3. Click the WebDocs Windows tab.

  4. Configure the following:

    SettingValue
    Check-in to WebDocs Windows Check.
    WebDocs Windows URL Type the WebDocs URL. (For example: acmeco.webdocsonline.com:1200)
    WebDocs User Type your WebDocs user name.
    WebDocs Password Type your WebDocs password.
    Direct check-in Make sure it's selected.
    Refresh folders, document types, and index descriptions Check.
  5. Click OK.

  6. Restart Imaging Scan Workstation to enable the configuration. The next time you open RJS Imaging Scan Workstation, it will be connected to WebDocs.

RJS Imaging Client

RJS Imaging Client is a powerful application that lets you view, annotate, and save PDF and TIFF documents that are stored in WebDocs. (You can also use Imaging Client as your general-purpose PDF and TIFF viewer.)

 

Installing

Before starting: Make sure you have the download user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Download and install.

Note: For a typical installation, you should install all prerequisites.

 

Connecting

Before starting: Make sure you have your WebDocs URL and WebDocs user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Now that RJS Imaging Client is installed on your computer, you need to connect it to WebDocs so that it can open PDF and TIFF documents and save them to WebDocs.

  1. Open RJS Imaging Client by clicking Start > All Programs > RJS Software > RJS Imaging Client > RJS Imaging Client.

  2. Open the configuration options by clicking RJS Imaging Client  > RJS Imaging Client Options  .

  3. In the menu on the lower left, click Imaging  .

  4. In the menu on the upper left, click WebDocs for Windows .

  5. Configure the following:

    SettingValue
    Web Service URL Type the WebDocs URL. (For example: acmeco.webdocsonline.com:1200)
    WebDocs User Type your WebDocs user name.
    WebDocs Password Type your WebDocs password.
    Enable WebDocs for Windows Check.
    Auto Login to WebDocs for Windows Check.
  6. Click OK. RJS Imaging Client is connected to WebDocs.

WebDocs Tray Capture

WebDocs Tray Capture is a handy, easy-to-use application that lets you quickly check in documents to WebDocs by:

  • Scanning small amounts of paper documents. (For large amounts of documents, RJS Imaging Scan Workstation is a better choice.)
  • Dragging-and-dropping digital documents on your computer.

 

Installing

Before starting: Make sure you have the download user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Download and install.

Note: For a typical installation, you should install all prerequisites.

 

Licensing

WebDocs Tray Capture comes installed with a 30-day temporary license. Contact RJS Software technical support for a permanent license.

 

Connecting

Before starting: Make sure you have your WebDocs URL and WebDocs user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Now that WebDocs Tray Capture is installed on your computer, you need to connect it to WebDocs so you can use it to check in documents.

  1. Open Tray Capture by clicking Start > All Programs > WebDocs Tray Capture > WebDocs Tray Capture.

  2. Open the configuration settings by clicking Settings .

  3. On the General tab, in the Login Setting area, configure the following:

    SettingValue
    Automatic Log On True
    WebDocs URL Type the WebDocs URL. (For example: acmeco.webdocsonline.com:1200)
    WebDocs Edition Windows

WebDocs Microsoft Office Add-Ins

The WebDocs Microsoft Office Add-Ins are handy, easy-to-use applications that are installed into the interface of Microsoft Office procucts Word, Excel, and Outlook. In each product the Add-In displays in the ribbon and lets you easily open, edit, and save Microsoft Office documents that are stored in WebDocs.

 

Installing

Before starting: Make sure you have the download user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Download and install.

Note: For a typical installation, you should install all prerequisites.

 

Connecting

Before starting: Make sure you have your WebDocs URL and WebDocs user name and password that you received from RJS Software.

Now that the WebDocs Microsoft Office Add-Ins are installed on your computer, you need to connect each one to WebDocs so that it can open Microsoft Office documents and save them to WebDocs.

  1. Open Microsoft Office Word, Excel, or Outlook.

  2. In the WebDocs Login dialog box that displays, type your WebDocs user name, password, and the WebDocs URL (for example: acmeco.webdocsonline.com:1200).

  3. Click OK. The WebDocs Microsoft Office Add-In is connected to WebDocs.
