Problem:

We have seen this error occur if a user has enabled the "Rename duplicate files" setting and they are telling the Batch Report Server to save the downloaded report files to a shared Novell network drive. 

Solution:

Disable the "Rename duplicate files" setting. This setting is only needed is the numeric file counters are not being used with the Batch Report Server. In 99% of the situations, this setting is not necessary.
 
Another possiblity is the User Profile did not have enough authority to copy the file into the directory on their server. The customer should also check to make sure the signed on network user has read/write authority to the network directories where reports will be stored. A good way to test this is to have the network user ID sign on to the network as a system administrator and then run the Batch Report Server process.
