When using the producto VISUAL Support in a Windows Seven or Windows Vista you get Access Violation errors when trying to change a library, change a DTAARA, etc.

It's a permission problem due to the UAC control introduced in Windows Vista, so the solution is to always run VISUAL Support with the compatibility option: "Run as administrator...".
You may also completely disable the UAC control, but it's not recommended because of security issues.
