The following information is required when submitting a Service Request for AccessServer..
1) Configuration Files
The file AccessServer.cfg located in the \bin\config directory in the AccessServer installation directory (by default: C:\Program Files\Tango04\AccessServer).
2) Log Files
AccessServer uses the Log4Cxx library for logging purposes.
Log File Configuration
AccessServer log files are configured through the configuration file named AccessServer.log.properties located in the \bin\config directory in the AccessServer installation directory
Even when the configuration file allows a lot of customization, most of the time you will only need to edit the 3rd line of the properties file (log4j.rootLogger=<LEVEL>, <MODE>) and replace the <LEVEL> and <MODE> values: <LEVEL>: replace with the desired log level values (DEBUG, INFO, WARN, ERROR) . The default value is WARN, so only Warning level messages or above are logged. <MODE>: replace with any of the provided logging modes: - CONSOLE: not recommended, only for debug purposes. - FILE: only one log file is generated. Log information is always appended to this file, so be careful whit this mode, the log file can become very big. Use it only under Technical Support recommendations. - ROLLING: the default and recommended mode. At most two files of 2 Mbytes each are kept for logging purposes, with the latest generated information.
Log File Location
The generated AccessServer Log Files are located in the \bin\logs directory in the AccessServer installation directory (by default: C:\Program Files\Tango04\AccessServer). One or more log files may be present, called AccessServer<n>.log, where <n> can be any number.
Important Note: The AccessServer service must be re-started for the log configuration changes to take effect.
