General description

Newer SmartConsole's installers (7.5.1+) include all the languages available in the same package. The language selected during the installation time is only for the installer itself, as the SmartConsole's language depends on Windows regional settings.

Despite the fact mentioned above, in some cases the SmartConsole rejects to start with the desired language. There is a workaround available that forces the SmartConsole to run in any particular language for those exceptional cases.

Conclusion / Solution / Recommendation / Advice

The proposed solution acts as a workaround allowing the user to run SmartConsole in one language despite the regional settings.
The following steps has to be done:

1) Stop SmartConsole service or just close it if it works as an application.
2) Go to SmartConsole's installation folder (by default: C:\Program Files\Tango04\SmartConsole)
3) Look for languages files (*.es for spanish, *.jp for Japan, *.fr for French) and rename the ones you don't want to use (i.e. *.fr to *.fre). It's important to leave untouched the files with the language desired.
Note: SmartConsole's default language is English and it is hardcoded, meaning that renaming all the files described in the previous step will result in an SmartConsole in English.
4) Start SmartConsole and check if the language is the expected one.
