• Join options

Try 'Partial Outer Join' instead of 'Left Outer Join' unless you are using remote connection to SQL Server and using SQL Server Syntax as opposed to Sequel ViewPoint auto conversion.

    Hi Jim,

To limit use of a menu option, use OS/400 object authority to restrict use of the command that corresponds to the menu option.

In this case the command to restrict would be CPYSPLIFS in the ESEND library.

    WRKOBJ ESEND/CPYSPLIFS *CMD

    Option 2 - Edit authority

    Enter the USERID *EXCLUDE

    Hi Melissa,

Could I get more information on when you receive this message? Are you receiving the message after the job is submitted and job completes?

Could you also indicate what version of the iSeries OS and SEQUEL Version you are currently on?

    On iSeries command line, type:

    ADDLIBLE SEQUEL

    SQVER

    To answer your questions:

Are you receiving the message after the job is submitted and job completes? I get this message after the job is submitted and is in the process of running.

The job gets a message wait with the message I stated in my first post.

Could you also indicate what version of the iSeries OS and SEQUEL Version you are currently on?

    ISeries OS is V5 R4

    SEQUEL Version is 8.6.220

    Thanks

I found the solution.  I put DLYJOB(2) after each view execution. Apparently SEQUEL needed some time to finish up it's housekeeping before moving on to the next Execute view in the Script.

    Thanks

We've worked with time and dates quite a bit here. Do you have the Client Report Option? Also what format are your dates in? Can you provide and example?

    Thanks,
